Cleanup Crews Registered in 2009: The 2009 list is growing. The list is alphabetized by town, so you can use it to see who is cleaning up in your area. We will update the list.

This map will be updated eventually but the list of cleanup crews registered so far via the link above is the most accurate and up to date indicator of the where, when and who of the Great American Cleanup.  MAP KEY: Yellow = regular cleanup site, Blue = cleanup near water, Red = major dumpsite, Policeman = volunteer rallying point.

We hope this map helps volunteers choose cleanup sites and appreciate the overall campaign. Click on an icon to see details of the cleanups that have taken place or are planned. Double click on map to zoom in. Click and drag map to move view. Check dates carefully as we will leave old registrations in place until new ones come in. This is a work in progress. About 100 sites are mapped now, mostly places that people cleanup every spring during the Great American Cleanup. You are welcome to suggest sites for the map, send comments or photos about your cleanup, and so on, and we will try to include them in the map. We would like to post local contact info for each cleanup prior to the spring cleanup campaign, so we will be reaching out to cleanup leaders to see about posting names and telephone numbers.
