The list is organized by KRB program type: Community Cleanups, Beautification and Public Arts, Education, Recognition (and "Other Links" for folks we want you to know about but who don't fit any of the preceeding categories). We are happy to add to this list -- just drop us a line and talk to Sonia Cairo. COMMUNITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL CLEANUPS
American Littoral Society - Coordinates International Coastal Cleanup day (Sept. 15). Clarkstown High School South - Art dept strong supporter of the trash can painting project; environmental club designed and performed out Storm Drain Puppet Show; radio class creates public service announcements for KRB; video class has produced videos about trash can project and illegal dumping. Students also come to the Land Use Symposium for Youth. Congers Elementary School (Kids For a Clean Environment) - With teacher Lisa Roy, this group has painted trash cans, implemented school recycling, planted flowers, and joined the Congers community cleanup.
Girl Scouts - Always a major player in the cleanup campaigns. Greater Haverstraw Chamber of Commerce Hackensack Riverkeeper - Coordinates cleanups and monitors threats to water quality downstream on the Hackensack. Nice-Pak - Donates wet wipes for distribution to cleanup crews so they can wash their hands in the field. Orange and Rockland, Inc. - Has been sponsoring t-shirts for cleanup crews since we started giving out t-shirts. O&R's Community Investment Program has supported the Land Use Symposium for Youth for several years. Pearl River High School - Students participate in the Land Use Symposium for Youth, community cleanups and other projects.
Quantitative Environmental Analysis - Cleanup crew for a Hudson River beach.
Riverkeeper - KRB volunteers cleanup beaches on the Hudson and load heaps of trash onto the Riverkeeper boat for safe disposal by Carlo Minuto carting, via a roll-off container left at Petersens Boatyard in Nyack. Rockland Friends of Clearwater - Organizes cleanups of Nyack area, has organized the Wacky Boat Race, Riverfest (with Friends of the Nyacks), monthly contra dances and rides on the Clearwater Sloop. Rockland Tourism Department - Helps spread the word about Community Cleanups and many other great local events. Rockland County - The Legislature and Executive create the budget that largely sustains KRB.
Rockland County Solid Waste Management Authority - Has sponsored our educational "10 Reasons to Swat a Litterbug" poster distributed to police, schools and other partners, in addition to providing vital environmental education and solid waste management services to the County. Great place for a school field trip!
RSVP - provides volunteers for the annual Litter and Neighborhood Blight Survey, as well as membership mailings. Suffern Civic Assoc - Strong cleanup crew; sponsors farmers market.
Town of Clarkstown - KRB sponsor; KRB landlord; highway department supports trash can project and other activities.
Town of Orangetown - KRB sponsor; highway dept hosts trash can exhibit and enforcement taskforce.
Village of Hillburn - Trustee Joe Tursi leads a great community cleanup!
BEAUTIFICATION AND PUBLIC ARTS PROJECTS Arts Alliance of Haverstraw - participates in trash can project, new cans grace Haverstraws parks. Arts Council of Rockland (ACOR) - Supports KRB's trash can painting project with small grants for recruiting artists and running community painting workshops. www.artscouncilofrocklandr.org EDUCATION

Maria Luisa Boutique - KRB sponsor and donates a portion of sales of reusable shopping bags to KRB. Ira Wickes/arborists - in addition to their support for myriad community improvements, especially arbor day activities, this company helps the Great American Cleanup by putting up street banners in April.
